French champagne maker Veuve Clicquot has sent a roving mail truck to tour the US to rediscover the romance of handwritten letters. Their Veuve Clicquot’s Cross Country Mail Truck will make special deliveries to cities across the US and its first stop was New York, while also visited the Hamptons, Cape Cod and Nantucket. During the tour truck will be serving up brand’s Yellow label and Rose champagnes – by the glass and by the bottle. It arrives with a special photo booth, food and a live DJ.
Painted in the brand’s signature bright yellow, it pays tribute to its history and honors Madame Clicquot, who took over the brand after her husband’s passing in the 1800s. She communicated with suppliers and agents through letters which bore her distinctive handwriting.
The Clicquot Mail truck will be on the road between July and October, and will make an appearance at hotels and restaurants across the US.
If you’re in the US, you can follow the truck’s journey on Facebook and Instagram to find out whether it’ll be in your city.
