After showcased world’s first and largest Curved UHD TV, Samsung rejoices us with one more premiere with epithet world’s first. The South Korean company is launching the world’s first flexible TV which goes from flat to curved at the press of a button. Viewers will also be able to control the acute angle of the curve on the 78-inch display, based on how many people are sat in front of it. Two motors on either side of the screen work to push them out to create and set the curve. The clarity of the images is four times sharper than current high definition TVs.
Guy Kinnell, the head of TV for Samsung Electronics in the UK said: ‘The combination of our curved design and UHD picture quality creates the ultimate immersive entertainment experience for people passionate about entertainment.’
The technology used in the Samsung Ultra High Definition TV (UN78S9B) set was first unveiled at January’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, as previously mentioned model (105-inch Curved UHD TV). Prices and international release dates have not been announced.
