Angelina Jolie is teaming up with the Christian Louboutin to release Maleficent-inspired shoes. Created by famed red-bottom shoe designer and co-designed by the actress herself, the shoes, called Malangeli, were inspired by Jolie’s character in the Disney film and will be sold on a pre-order basis only. The 39-year-old actress debuted a pair in black, then came white and gold versions as the promotional tour rolled on – each hand-made in Monsieur Louboutin’s Paris atelier.
According to the brand, the shoes have mesh panels, to create ‘an illusion of magic’, sculpted heels that looks like tendrils of smoke and of course, the French designer’s iconic red sole and ‘the result is an exclusive shoe that’s dark, dangerous and altogether seductive, on the red carpet and off’.
The styles available to order will be black and red patent leather only, priced at £950 ($1,600).Profits from the sales will benefit SOS Children’s Villages, the charity dedicated to orphaned and abandoned children.
