Rihanna will launch her first fragrance for men in September. Rogue Man by Rihanna is the masculine counterpart to last year’s Rihanna Rogue. This new scent will join the singer’s four women’s fragrances on stores shelves. The perfume was developed by Frank Voelkl as an oriental – woody. In the top notes there are bergamot, clementine, black pepper and rosemary. The heart consists of cedar, jasmine, vanilla orchid and labdanum, leaning on the base of sandalwood, patchouli, amber, musk and tonka bean.
The advertising features Rihanna wrapped her arms on a tattooed model Daniel Ness. Donald Loftus, president of Parlux, the company that licenses Rihanna’s fragrances, tells WWD, “We don’t know…if a woman will buy this for her boyfriend, or [a man] is hoping to turn into the guy in the ad.”
“The first bottle may be sold to a Rihanna fan, the second bottle [will be] just because the bottle and the [perfume] are really fantastic,” he added.
Rihanna Rogue Man will be available in 30 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
Rihanna posted on on twitter: “Ladies! This September wake up next to your man smelling like this! Makes you wanna steal his Tshirts”
