The latest news from the fashio world to jump on the bandwagon is Prabal Gurung make-up line. The Nepalese American fashion designer has teamed up with MAC Cosmetics to roll out a beauty collection. “I was fascinated by the packaging and the beautiful boxes,” Gurung tells the trade of his connection to beauty products. “It was almost magical. I’d see my mom come home from work and put on all this makeup, and it would be a total transformation happening, and [I saw] the confidence that came with that.”
Two years in the making, the line features a bronzing powder, eye shadow duo, lipstick and more. According to Forbes, the packaging of the products is inspired by the jeweled minaudieres of the 1920’s, intending to make a woman feel beautiful even before she puts the makeup on.
Designed to exude luxury and beauty, the 14-piece collection launches officially on November 26. The products range in price from $20 for a kohl eye pencil to $70 for the bronzing powder and cream colour base. The lipsticks and lipglass, each available in three different colors, run for $30.
