Sergio Pininfarina concept had its premiere at the Motor Show in Geneva, and seems to have attracted a lot of attention of enough wealthy customers as information emerged that the Italians will produce a limited number of copies of this attractive car. Ferrari has very quietly announced that they has approved the building of six Sergio Pininfarina roadsters. But Ferrari themselves will not build the cars, since the Pininfarina will do the main job.
Sergio is promoted as an innovative and exclusive concept car, built in honor of the late maestro of Italian style, and it is a two-seat Barket for whose base was used Ferrari 458 Spider. The body will be made of carbon fiber, the vehicle weight is 1280 kg, and it seems it will have a price of around $2Million-$3Million. The engine is 4.5-liter V8 from the aforementioned Ferrari 458 Spider, paired with the seven-speed sequential gearbox.
