Land Rover has recently released a few teaser images and short teaser video clip which has announced its new model Discovery Sport, and here are the first official photos of this vehicle. Land Rover Discovery Sport will replace the current model Freelander, and a car will be offered also with seven seats (in fact 5 + 2 configuration). The customers will be able to see Discovery Sport in early October this year, at the Paris Motor Show, and sales in the British market will start in January next year, at a price of 32.395 pounds($53,500) for the base model.
Discovery Sport is a mid-size SUV that will compete among other already established models such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. In any case, Discovery Sport will feature a spacious interior, and refined combination of performance, safety and economy. Discovery Sport will be available with three four-cylinder engines, while the initially available to customers is 2.0-liter Si4 petrol engine with 240 Hp and 339 Nm, and 2.2-liter turbo diesel engine with 190Hp.
The equipment boasts the Terrain Response system, head-up display, a new infotainment system with 8-inch touch screen, dual zone climate control, Autonomous Emergency Braking System, Hill Descent Control, optional Park Assist, a system that recognizes traffic signs and much more. Also on offer will be the Black Pack package, which among other things has a gloss black elements, mask, mirrors, side air vents, tags, alloy wheels 19 or 20 inches, and Santorini Black black roof.
