This week Penhaligon’s launched its new Trade Routes Collection – a range of three unique new fragrances. All fragrances – Lothair, Empressa and Levantium, composed by three different perfumers are inspired by the luxurious goods which were traded through the historic docks of London during the turn of the 19th century. Each fragrance has been chosen to represent the most decadent and high class ingredients. Lothair is a Aromatic Spicy fragrance for women and men, behind which is Bertrand Duchaufour.
Top notes are juniper, cardamom, bergamot, grapefruit, fig leaf and red berries; middle notes are fig tree, lavender, magnolia, geranium and black tea; base notes are vanilla, musk, cedar, ambergris, oakmoss and woody notes.
Empressa is a fragrance for women, conceived by Mike Parrott. Top notes are blood orange, bergamot, mandarin orange, peach, black currant and dewberry; middle notes are rose, geranium, neroli, cardamom, pink pepper and black pepper; base notes are vanilla, cacao, olibanum, amber, musk, woody notes, patchouli and sandalwood.
Levantium is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men, mixed by Christian Provenzano. Top notes are bergamot, artemisia, saffron and wormwood; middle notes are rose, jasmine, violet, cloves, cardamom, ylang-ylang and peach; base notes are amber, myrrh, guaiac wood, sandalwood, cedar, agarwood (oud), patchouli, musk and vanilla.
