The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was officially unveiled earlier this month at IFA 2014. Alhough, there has been no indication as to how quickly we could see the phone on retailer’s shelves, Samsung yesterday announced UK availability of the Galaxy Note 4 for October 10th, with pre-orders opening up at Samsung Experience Stores from today. The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, new device still comes in at the whopping 5.7 inches that we have come to know and love, but Samsung has made some significant changes to that killer feature.
The newest Note, which comes in four colours, has a quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED screen and Samsung has improved its multi window feature to make better use of all that screen real estate. The 16-megapixel rear-facing camera has optical image stabilization, an improvement over digital-only image stabilization and recognizing the selfie as a smartphone photo staple, Samsung has given the 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera a default 90 degree shooting angle with a 120-degree wide angle option.
The device has multiple microphones with the voice recorder able to do directional voice tagging for eight different voices so in playback, you can isolate a single voice in a conversation. The S Pen has also been improved, giving it more of the functions of a mouse, including the ability to gather up images and data to drop into an email or post with a single click. Samsung has also added a fast charging feature that boosts the battery from zero to 50 per cent in 30 minutes.
