Volvo‘s new, second-generation SUV XC90 has been unveiled late last month, and at the Paris Motor Show will also appear with the optional R-Design package. The optional R-Design package, which was available in the previous generation, is for customers who want more attractive and more individual look of their car and are willing to pay the extra for that. This whole factory kit for personalization is accompanied by a series of specially designed exterior and the interior. In practice, this means a five-pointed alloy wheels of 20 inches, new front grille and front spoiler, matte silver mirror housings, silk metal windows frame, silver roof rails, two chrome exhaust pipes, and the lower parts of the car in color of bodywork.
The interior is characterized by R-Design Contour sports seats with Nubuck leather, leather steering wheel and shift knob, aluminum pedals and new floor mat, and the driver gets the exclusive R-Design Key.
The new XC90 R-Design will be able to order from October while deliveries will begin in the first half of next year.
As a reminder, the range of engines in the new XC90 will be the following units:
T5: 189 kW / 350 Nm and 254KS
T6: 239 kW / 400 Nm and 320KS
D4: 142 kW / 190HP and 400 Nm
D5: 168 kW / 470 Nm and 225KS
Particular attention causes plug-in hybrid version that is labeled T8 Twin Engine, a combined four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine (driving the front wheels) and an electric motor with 60 kW / 80 HP (drives the rear wheels). The combined system power is 298 kW / 400KS and 640 Nm, and only by electric power will exceed 40 km (announcing the CO2 emissions of 60 grams per km).
