The new, third generation of the Audi TT in the form of a coupe had its premiere at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and in Paris at the beginning of October will be presented a new Roadster variant with a folding soft top. The new TT is designed on Volkswagen MQB platform, and has a wider track width and better weight distribution compared to the previous model. The Audi improved drivability, increased security, richer equipment and better fuel economy, and there will be a version with only the front drive and drive to all four wheels.
At the beginning of the TT Roadster will be available with three four-cylinder engine with a power range of up to 184Hp 310Hp. There are six-speed manual transmission or six-speed S tronic dual-clutch. The interior is described as a purist, sports and facing towards the driver, with a “virtual cockpit” that combines the instrument panel and infotainment display in one unit. 12.3-inch TFT display has two different modes, classic look and infotainment look, eliminating the need for secondary infotainment screen.
New Audi TT Roadster among other things has a system that warns the driver that he had left his lane without turning on the turn signal, the system of recognition of traffic signs, parking assist system, Audi drive select system and security system Pre Sense Basic, and optionally can be obtained with Matrix LED lights. Audi TT Roadster will have a starting price of 37,900euros($48,000).
