Next year Martell celebrates its 300th anniversary. Specialy for the House’s Tricentenary, they announced the launch of a limited edition new blend – Martell Premier Voyage. Cellar Master, Benoît Fil returned to Martell’s roots and created unique blend containing 18 eaux-de-vie from Martell’s cellars, by tracing the brand’s founder Jean Martell’s footsteps by including the Cognac producers he worked with between 1735 and 1742.
Visiting winegrowers just as Jean Martell did generations before him, Fil sampled eaux-de-vie and met with the winegrowing families whose ancestors had originally supplied the brand’s founder. After crafting the blend and then ageing in barrels made from the oak of a 300 year-old tree, Martell Premier Voyage was born; an exceptional and distinctive new blend, and the perfect homage to Jean Martell.
“The desire was to create a blend that reflected the journey and history of Jean Martell,” said Fil in a statement. “This new blend truly captures three centuries of Martell turning cognac into art.”
This precious cognac is housed in the artwork created by world-renowned French conceptual artist Bernar Venet.
Only 300 bottles of this limited edition blend will be available for sale worldwide. Each bottle will be signed, numbered, and produced to order.
