If you have already searched that location on Google Maps, you may have noticed that the south of this island, there is absolutely nothing until you reach Antarctica. So, where it was filmed “Cast Away“? The answer is, on Fiji, on a small island Monuriki, which is part of the Mamanuca archipelago.
If you see the island from a bird’s eye view, you will see the beach on the eastern side where the Tom Hanks, who played a major role in the movie, spent most of its time. On the south, is the cave where he found his refuge.
