The Honky Tonk restaurant in Chelsea can boasts with world’s most expensive burger. Aptly named Glamburger, is intended to those with deep pocket, since its price of £1,100 ($1,770). This burger is made from 220 grams of Kobe Wagyu beef minced with 60 grams of New Zealand venison to “balance the fat content” and is garnished with a bunch of expensive delicacies to justify the high price. That’s black truffle Brie at the center of the burger to create a “liquid pocket” once cooked. Then, it is seasoned with Himalayan salt served with a Canadian lobster poached in Iranian saffron.
On the top, they put bacon coated with maple syrup, beluga caviar and smoked duck egg coated in gold leaf. And, that wasn’t enough, Glamburger is again seasoned with a Japanese matcha – a kind of powdered green tea – cream mayonnaise and a coating of gold leaf. Finally, it is garnished with a mango and champagne jus and grated white truffle.
All in all, if you’re willing to pay this amount, you should know that this burger contains 2,618 calories. It took three weeks to develop. And, how much time you need to eat this burger which was certified by Record Setters as the most expensive in the world?
