Leica has recently announced the Leica X Edition Moncler camera. This special edition of Leica’s X 113 compact camera was created in a partnership with French-Italian outerwear brand Moncler. The camera features 16.5 APS-C CMOS sensor with a Summilux 23mm f/1.7 ASPH lens, a high resolution of more than 16 megapixels, and a 23mm f/1.7 Constructed by hand in the Leica factory from high-quality materials, the compact camera is wrapped Moncler’s signature red, white and blue stripes.
Fabien Baron, the editorial director of Interview Magazine, was recruited by Moncler President Remo Ruffini to test this camera, who said of the results: “I am so proud of this collaboration, a 360 degree project starting from Leica high-end technology, through to the art photography and the creativity of a visionary artist as Fabien Baron, landing to Greenland to catch the spirit of Moncler, the magnificence of the ice. I thank Fabien for the solemnity of his pictures.”
The Moncler x Leica X 113 will go on sale at Leica and Moncler boutiques later this month as well as online.
