The famous “Harley Davidson” bike, that Peter Fonda was driving in the cult film, Easy Rider, from 1969 was sold at auction last weekend for 1.35 Million dollars. “Captain America” motorcycle with all documentation including Fonda’s letter was sold on Saturday night at the auction house Profiles In History in Calabasas, northwest of Los Angeles. Red, white, blue chopper was designed and made by two designers, Cliff Vogs and Ben Hardy on Peter Fonda suggestions.
For Easy Rider movie were made two “Captain America” choppers, how filming would not be interrupted if one them breaks down. The bike, which was sold on Saturday, was used in automobile accidents in the end of the film.
The auctioneer Joseph Maddalena described the chopper before the auction as one of the icons of American cinema.
