Luxury London department store Harrods opened the Salon de Parfums – newly-designed space devoted entirely to the world’s finest scents. Occupying a prominent space on the sixth floor of the world-renowned Knightsbridge store, a 5,000sq ft scented paradise has been designed to feel intimate and tranquil, using a calming colour palette of soft greys and warm, natural tones. It was conceived to house exclusive scents by 11 leading brand boutiques: Bond No 9; By Kilian; Chanel; Clive Christian; Creed; Dior; Guerlain; Henry Jacques; Roja Dove; Tom Ford; and Xerjoff.
“We will help customers find their signature scent, but we will have a number of brands that will offer bespoke fragrance,” says Mia Collins, head of beauty at Harrods.
The Salon de Parfums is also the exclusive stockist of the ‘No1 Passant Guardant’ fragrance by perfumer Clive Christian; it retails at £143,000 ($228,000), making it the world’s most expensive perfume.
