Michael Kors has 16 million fans on Facebook, 2.4 million on Twitter and 3.1 million fans on Instagram. Obviously, he found a way to cash his popularity and to convert his “likes” to actual sales. If you’re his follower, you can sign up for a program called #InstaKors. Users register their email addresses and Instagram user name at the special landing page, and then they’ll receive product emails with a shoppable link for images they’ve “liked.” The similar thing that was also unveiled by Marc Jacobs earlier this month.
Also, from November 25 to December 2, Kors himself will be present to open a special pop-up shop at The Dubai Mall. The store will include a section dedicated to the ‘Selma’ bag, feature a photo booth for customers to snap pictures with their favorite products, and will carry a range of handbags, small leather goods, watches, and jewelry from the brand’s holiday collection. In addition to this, Michael Kors will debut a hotly anticipated new shade for its leather goods called ‘Blossom’ (pale pink), which will be available to customers at The Dubai Mall pop-up shop months ahead of its global launch.
