For almost a century, the House of Lesage has been producing embroideries for all the major names in Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter. This is the first time the House’s know-how has been used in the creation of a watch dial. This year, Chanel has collaborated with La Maison Lesage once again on four new Mademoiselle Privé Caméllia Brodé watch dials, delicately embroidered with gold thread on jet-black fabric and embellished with gold and silver sequins, Coco Chanel’s signature pearls and, on one model, a diamond stamen.
Each embroidery is unique and reveals all the embroiderer’s gestural freedom while patiently creating this work. The noir matted leather strap provides a great contrast and uplifts the colours on the dial and the jewels encircling it.
