Here is the Linde Werdelin‘s sixth Oktopus family member – Oktopus Moon Carbon. For this exceptional watch more than 2 years of research and development has gone in to perfect the challenging technique of compressing carbon fibres into shape. Oktopus Moon Carbon uses a breakthrough material, developed with 3DTP technology, for its outercase to produce the desired case finishing. 3DTP – or 3-Dimensional Thin Ply – has been conceived from the heart of the Swiss Jura over a number of years. It is in a uniquely enviable position of merging material design with the art of watchmaking.
This great model houses a bespoke self-winding calibre featuring an in-house moon phase module characterised by its original and highly photorealistic depiction of the Earth’s natural satellite. The solid 18k rose gold crown is engraved with an octopus motif. The back case is decorated with the new three-layered octopus engraving, hand-drawn by co-founder and creative mind Morten Linde, as well as the limited edition serial number.
Priced at $19,700, it comes in a 44mm by 46mm case, and an interchangeable top-grade natural rubber strap in chocolate brown. Oktopus Moon Carbon is limited to only 59 pieces.
