Uber philanthropist Wallis Annenberg, is selling her beachfront house in the guard-gated Colony community in Malibu. The house was rumored to be on the market in April 2013 for $49 million, but now according to Variety, the ask is a pricechopped $39 million. Annenberg purchased the property in 2006 for $22,75 million, and then hired architect Frederick Fisher to rearrange the place. It is now the 8,400-square-foot contemporary house with 70 feet of ocean frontage, four en-suite bedrooms, a separate staff apartment and a master suite with office/sitting area and oceanside terrace.
There’s also a parking up to 10 cars, a roomy deck with lap-length swimming pool, spa, fire pit and panoramic vistas from Santa Monica to Catalina Island.
Rob Reiner, Paul Reiser, John McEnroe, Sting and Jerry Perenchio also have the homes in this community.
