Chinese man breaks the Guinness World Records‘ record by inventing the smallest car. Xu Zhiyun, 60 has made a micro car by himself at his home in Shanghai. He spent two years making the car at a cost of just under €200 and despite being no bigger than an average-sized box, it contains a working engine, a gear system, a steering wheel, a seat, a horn and a sound system that is teed up with 500 songs.
The Guinness World Records’ previous record for the smallest roadworthy car measured 63.5 cm (25 in) high, 65.41 cm (2 ft 1.75 in) wide and 126.47 cm (4 ft 1.75 in). It was created by Austin Coulson (USA) and measured in Carrollton, Texas, USA, on 7 September 2012.
