Musician John Legend and his supermodel wife, Chrissy Teigen sold their Hollywood Hills home for $2 million. Legend bought the Los Angeles house in 2007 for $1,512,500, according to Sotheby’s International Realty. The Asian-inspired contemporary house, was built in 1961 and remodeled, so now boasts textured stone floors, walls of glass, vaulted ceilings with exposed wood beams, etched teak cabinetry and insulated rain gutters to reduces the sound of water in them.
The nearly 2,000 square feet of living space features three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms was in use as a studio where Legend reportedly recorded several songs for his current album, “Love in the Future.”
There’s also expansive deck, gardens, fountains and outdoor bathtub.
Lavish home appeared in the March 2013 issue of Architectural Digest, and on Oprah’s Next Chapter.
Legend told the Wall Street Journal the home feels a bit small.
