David Yurman opened a second New York City retail store in Soho district. The fine jewelry and luxury timepiece brand now boasts the 2,000-square-foot space inside a 19th century building with trompe l’oeil mural by artist Richard Haas in the Soho-Cast Iron Historic District. It is blocks from the company’s headquarters at 712 Madison Ave.
“I cut my teeth as a sculptor and an artist in this neighborhood – it truly is home for (my wife) Sybil and me,” Yurman said in a release. “What was the epicenter of gallery culture in New York has since evolved into a vibrant, international destination. We’re thrilled to be a part of this community’s past, present and future.”
The interior design touches include live-edge wood surfaces and metal finishes, as well as plenty of paintings by his wife Sybil. A selection of exclusive pieces created especially for the boutique will be stocked there. The store will house two bronze angels created by Yurman.
