Geneva-based smartphone manufacturer Savelli revealed smartphone for ladies studded with precious stones. In collaboration with colored gemstone miner Gemfields, Savelli will unveil two models for the Ruby Limited-Edition series, powered by Android during the annual watch fair Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in January 2015. Both models as the collection name suggests features Ruby as the key material in their construction.
The first, Ruby Mystery smartphone, includes 395 brilliant-cut rubies with a “snow setting” technology on the 18-carat white gold case heart. The phone’s case back is made from black alligator rubberized leather as well as high-tech black ceramic. Ruby Mystery is limited to 20 pieces and retails for approximately $35,600.
The second, Ruby Passion includes 395 brilliant-cut rubies and an 18-carat yellow gold ribbon and case with an additional 144 brilliant-cut diamonds. The diamonds are inlaid to appear as though they are shimmering drops of rain using the “rain setting” technique.
Limited to only eight editions, the Ruby Passion’s case back is made of red alligator leather and high-tech black ceramic. The Ruby Passion retails for nearly $ 57,500.
