The ride-sharing service Uber announced the latest addition to their services: UberLUX. This new luxury service has been offered to a select group of riders in Los Angeles. They received email which tells them they can expect pickups from the highest-rated drivers in vehicles such as Mercedes Benz S-Classes, Tesla Model S’s and Audi A8s, among others.
According to the company, it “launched UberLUX for those moments when you need ultimate sophistication and unparalleled luxury”.
But all that come with a price. The base fare for an UberLUX ride is $20 and the minimum fare is $30. Pretty much if compare with the company’s already “premium” Uber Black service, which base fare is $8 and minimum fare is $15.
The service has been introduced in the Los Angeles market along with a New Year’s Eve promotion.
