At CES 2015, Bang & Olufsen showcased its new wireless music system that integrates your music collection and services into one. BeoSound Moment boasts highly unusual design, with a detachable, double-sided wooden/aluminium controller that sits on the top of the unit at a rakish angle. This two-sided tablet analyses yours listening patterns, memorises them, and uses this information to to play music according to your mood and surroundings. This system, the device uses for this is called Intelligent PatternPlay.
The company says that ‘Over time, BeoSound Moment will gradually start to know your taste in music, and be able to play what you most likely want to hear, without you even having to ask.
The system pulls its music from Deezer with access to more than 35 million tracks, and is controlled by a novel two-sided removable control panel/remote control, combining a MoodWheel selector and an innovative touch-sensitive oak panel.
The aluminium interface displays another new feature of BeoSound Moment, the innovative MoodWheel, which is divided into a colour gamut that ranges from melancholic blue over a passionate red zone to an energetic yellow area. Combined, these two dimensions on the intuitive MoodWheel offer limitless possibilities for defining your selection of music.
The other option is an insanely awesome wooden side, specially made of Oak, that gives you one-touch access. You simply do one touch to the wooden wheel and the music begins to play, you can also control volume on this wooden click wheel. This is the first time in the world that a wood interface has been made touch-sensitive.
Priced at $2,795, BeoSound Moment will be available exclusively at Bang & Olufsen stores as of January 30, 2015 in selected countries where both Bang & Olufsen and the Deezer music service are available.
