Luxury Swedish island, previously owned by Tiger Woods, and his Swedish ex-wife Elin Nordegren is up for sale. The 62-acre island, in Lake Mälaren, the third largest lake in Sweden, consists of 330 000 square metres and includes a custom-made golf course, a hunting lodge, and a landing strip for private planes. Althoug the wooden construction, the lodge also includes modern conveniences like fancy kitchen, breakfast bar, wood-burning stove with a disguised extractor fan, a hot tub and gas barbecue.
The property also includes a private ferry boat, a historic hill fort, stables, pasture land for horses, and two small Skinnpälsarna islands with a water area of around 500 acres.
The residence on the island is apparently the only home for many miles around.
Tiger Woods bought the property during his six year marriage to Elin Nordegren, who divorced him after it emerged in 2010 that he had had a string of affairs.
Sabine Rollinger, of Vladi Private Islands which is listing the island, told: “This is a unique, exclusive private island with total privacy. It includes a private harbour, untouched woods, beautiful lush parks, open fields, striking lake views and a tastefully designed main residence, a mini-mansion.” The price is only available on application.
