Two iconic British brands, each famous for luxury and exploration, have come together to form Land Rover Adventure Travel by Abercrombie & Kent. This co-branded self-drive packages is imagined as adventure where travelers can explore some of the world’s most iconic destinations from behind the wheel of a Land Rover.
There are also trainers from Land Rover, called Land Rover Experience instructors, to coach you how to drive the all-terrain vehicles while exploring epic destinations, such as Tanzania, India, Morocco, China and Iceland.
Each adventure has been planned with the meticulous detail, and seamless ground arrangements such as local guides, luxury accommodations and meals, for which Abercrombie & Kent is renowned.
Land Rover Adventure Travel journeys are limited to a maximum of 12 guests, in six vehicles, keeping the experience small and intimate. Eight programs are offered at the launch of the series:
Big Five in Botswana: explores the country’s national parks and the Okavango Delta. Departures in May and June 2015.
Best of British: drives through the English countryside from London to Eastnor Castle. Departures in June, July, August and September 2015.
Morocco: Atlas and Atlantic visits Marrakesh and travels into the Agalay Desert to the Atlas Mountains. Departures in May 2015.
Tanzania Into the Wild: observes the the Great Migration and the wildlife of the Serengeti. Departures in September and October 2015.
Namibia: Sossusvlei and Safari travels through the sands of Sossusvlei and tracks rhinos across Damaraland. Departures in November and December 2015.
Australia: Alice to Uluru explores Finke Gorge National Park and the ancient rock art at Uluru. Departures in October 2015.
Bonnie Scotland: Go cross country on private estates for spectacular views and visit Edinburgh Castle. Departures in July 2015.
The Land Rover Adventure Travel by Abercrombie & Kent programs begin at $8,650 per person double occupancy, including meals, accommodations and a range of experiences.
