In ancient times and across cultures, color was a means to heal and awaken spiritual strengths. Designed by Lanzavecchia + Wai and Marine Peyre, Mycoocoon (my cocoon) is a color immersion pod based on the principle that each person is drawn to the color that they need to balance their energy level. It is created to awaken the five senses and improve one’s overall well-being through chromatic light experiences.
Composed of a soft leather individual lounge seat and a suspended hut made of light-weight material, and embedded with bio-compatible LED’s that immerse the body in key colors in a pre-determined sequence and rhythm, the pod currently uses chromotherapy and music to relax, reenergize and rebalance its user.
Visitors are invited to choose from a series of colours to determine their personality and mood before reclining on soft leather loungers underneath the immersive coloured pod of their choosing. Bluetooth headphones help to create an ambience by playing soothing natural sounds.
This innovative concept was developed based on extensive research by a team of experts specializing in chromotherapy, aromatherapy, lighting, furniture design, and music. The Mycoocoon pods are intended for use in restaurants, spas, hotels and airport lounges, as well as in working environments to improve employee’s wellbeing at the office.
