A palatial apartment on 57th St. has broken the record for the most expensive single-family home ever sold in NYC history. The $100,471,452.77-million apartment occupies the 89th and 90th floors of One57, one of the luxury skyscrapers on the so-called Billionaire’s Row. The duplex penthouse is 10,923 square feet, overlooking Central Park and has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and two powder rooms. There’s a gym in the building, a pool, Jacuzzi, a steam room, a library and a screening room.
All apartments in the tower have soaring ceilings, rosewood flooring and custom Italian marble baths.
The identity of the apartment’s buyer was not disclosed.
This sale at One57 effectively shatters the previous record for priciest condo sale. That distinction was held by Ekaterina Rybolovleva, daughter of Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, who paid $88 million for a condo at 15 Central Park West nearly four years ago.
