Whipple Russell Architects created Beverly Hills sanctuary for a sports power broker and his family. They purchased the lot several years ago which originally contained a Mediterranean home, most of which was donated to Habitat for Humanity, before hiring Marc Whipple of Whipple Russell Architects to construct their dream home. Spanning 10,000 square feet the stunning residence is an orchestra of elements, textures, and patterns, coming together to create an exquisite whole.
The L-shaped residence Whipple designed features numerous glass walls that can be opened up to make the interior spaces feel en plein air. The home combines expanses of glass, stone, and metal to create a great work of beauty, and is the first house permitted by the Beverly Hills green building ordinance. It is also is fitted with solar panels providing power, while systems were installed to collect, filter, and re-use water on the property.
