Looking for the world’s most expensive chocolate? Well you’ve found it. Knipschildt’s La Madeline au Truffle was recognized by Forbes Magazine as exactly that. Costing an astonishing $250 per piece, this chocolate is made of 70% Valrhona dark chocolate, heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla as the base for this rich mouthful. A rare French Perigord truffle is then surrounded by this rich ganache, and then rolled in dark chocolate and fine cocoa powder.
All chocolates at Knipschildt Chocolatier are crafted by Master chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt. According to knipschildt.net, “Fritz aims to impress, surprise and provide customers with the ultimate chocolate and confection experiences.”
Each chocolate truffle comes lying on a bed of sugar pearls in a silver box tied with a ribbon. It is made to order and takes two weeks to deliver.
