Audi has previously confirmed that the world premiere of its new, second generation of the R8 model will be held in early March at the Geneva show, and we presents to you the first official pictures and factory data. The new R8 will be initially only available with a 5.2 liter V10 FSI engine, in two versions. The base version has 397 kW / 540Hp and 540 Nm, while the more powerful R8 V10 Plus has 449 kW / 610Hp and 560 Nm.
The standard R8 V10 with 540Hp up to 60mph comes in 3.5 seconds, and can reach a maximum of 199mph, while the more powerful R8 V10 Plus with 610Hp up to 60mph comes in 3.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 205mph.
In the offer, there will be only seven-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch gearbox and quattro drive to all-wheel. The new R8 is lighter than the current generation, and is also equipped with LED rear lights, optional front laser light, and a new racing seats, 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system of 500 watts.
Sales of the new Audi R8 will start on the summer, and the weaker version will cost 165,000 euros($185,000) and more powerful Audi R8 V10 Plus 187.400 euros($210,000).
