Bulgari has established a long-term collaboration with the Central Saint Martins school, supporting the creativity of students through a design competition. The Italian brand asked three recent fashion graduates to bring fresh inspiration to its brand. “Working for a big luxury houseas a young designer justified to me that ideas can become a reality”, said CSM graduate Connie Lim after having collaborated with LVMH powerhouse Bulgari.
After finalizing their project for all three codes – Monete, Serpeti and Bulgari Bulgari, graduates then visited Bulgari’s ateliers in Florence to work with artisans and make prototypes of their creations. The three designs drew on Bulgari’s Italian identity to propose bags with exciting and bold new interpretations that embody the essence of the House.
The graduates chosen for the competition came from a range of Fashion Programme subjects. Anita Hirlekar studied MA Fashion, while Natasha Somerville is a BA Fashion alumna. Connie Lim graduated from BA Fashion Design with Marketing.
