It’s not a joke! You should beware of Finnish traffic law, since one man in Finland did get this astronomical speeding ticket. Just in case you’re a millionaire. Actually, businessman Reima Kuisla was driving 64mph (103kph) in a 50mph (80kph) zone and when police officer stopped him. Since, authorities reportedly checked his 2013 tax returns and found he made 6.5 million euros (around $7.15 million) that year, they issued him 54,000 euros (a nearly $60,000) speeding ticket.
According to BBC, Kuisla later complained on his Facebook page saying that “Finland is impossible to live in for certain kinds of people who have high incomes and wealth.”
Kuisa’s speeding ticket of $60,000 may be a piece of cake if compare with $290,000 ticket–a world record paied by rich Ferrari driver with a history of violations in Switzerland, whose net worth was estimated at more than $20 million. I really feel sorry for both of them!
