Lumina’s two-floor $49 million penthouse apartment is currently new San Francisco’s most expensive listing. The second-priciest listing after the duplex is a home on the Gold Coast, which is listed at $39 million.
However, a 15,000-square-foot duplex condominium is located on the 41st and 42nd floors in an under-construction Lumina’s taller tower.
The unit with 20-foot ceilings wraps around the building, with the glass spanning around 150 linear feet, giving views of San Francisco icons like the Ferry Building and Bay Bridge. Its five-bedroom, five full- and two-half-bath floor plan includes a family kitchen, a kitchen for catering, a butler’s pantry and a convenience kitchen near the master suite, eight terraces that cover a total of 1,200 square feet, as well as access to a private rooftop.
Lumina’s two buildings will have a total of 656 units, starting in the $2 million range. About 200 units are already under contract, though the first residents won’t move into their new homes until at least the end of 2015.
