Ever since its creation 80 years ago, Maison Lancôme, has continually collaborated with the worlds of art and fashion. Lancôme’s latest partnership is with Italian- Belgian fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello who is known for the sexy designs in his eponymous label as well as his capsule collection for Versus Versace (he was named as the Italian luxury label’s new creative director). Now, the name of 31-year-old designer is going to get even more recognition, thanks to a just-announced makeup collaboration with Lancôme.
“I was inspired by the Lancome woman’s femininity and charisma – a special kind of elegance that’s never lifeless nor frozen. For me, Lancome embodies the philosophy of understated beauty: it’s something quintessentially French,” explained Vaccarello.
Lancôme has not yet unveiled details about the line, but the company stated in a release that the designer will be “reinventing Lancôme makeup with an exceptional collection.”
What we know for sure is that the Anthony Vaccarello for Lancôme limited editions will be available from October 2015, only at Net-a-Porter at an unspecified date later this year.
