French luxury brand Dior Jewellery unveiled its new capsule collection of jewellery this month, highlighting the beauty that can be found in asymmetrical designs. This new collection is tribute to the Diorama dress designed by Christian Dior for his Spring/Summer 1951 Haute Couture collection, featuring the intertwined ribbons of the silk haute couture dress in bijou metals on Dior rings and asymmetric Dior earrings.
A French jewellery designer and Dior creative director of jewellery and watches Victoire de Castellane designed two jewellery styles in three different combinations: pink morganite and diamonds on rose gold; amethyst and emeralds on yellow gold; and white gold teamed with crystalline aquamarine and diamonds. Each jewel was named after an iconic dress, with design details such as pleats, drapes and belts reinterpreted through precious stones and metals.
The Diorama precieuse jewellery collection will be available this May at selected Dior boutiques.
