After presenting the jubilee edition of model Elise, for its twentieth anniversary, Lotus has introduced the model Exige S Club Racer, which, compared to the standard Exige S, is lighter by an additional 15 pounds. Lotus Exige S Club Racer will be available only with a fixed roof, and the total weight of the car is reduced to 1.161 kilogram, which is achieved by using ultralight materials for the seats and doors.
Exige S Club Racer comes with a newly developed front spoiler and a new rear spoiler, and with transparent engine cover. lotus Exige S Club Racer is powered by 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine assisted by Eaton mechanical compressor and delivers 350bhp at 7,000 rev / min. Power transmission to the rear axle is done through a 6-speed manual transmission, and from 0 to 60mph comes in four seconds.
Compared to the Exige S, Club Racer is more expensive for 3,338 euros($3,600) and its selling price is 79,137 euros($85,600). The car will be offered in two colors, white and orange, and in both cases with full details, including the roof painted in matte black.
