Catherine, the S.S. Maria Theresa is an utterly magnificent masterpiece that will transport guests to remarkable European destinations in impeccable style. She will set sail along the breathtaking Rhine, Main, and Danube rivers.
This super ship is befittingly named after the Archduchess of Austria and Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, the great Maria Theresa who reigned from 1740 to 1780. Representing Uniworld’s most ambitious ship to date, this floating palace on water is fashioned in the spirit of her great namesake, Empress Maria Theresa, with classical Baroque interiors, royal crown detailing, and a 10-foot high oil on canvas of Maria Theresa herself as the focal point of the ship’s grand lobby.
S.S. Maria Theresa will set sail on her inaugural voyage on March 28 on “Tulips & Windmills.” She will also serve the line’s popular “European Jewels,” “Danube Holiday Markets,” and “Enchanting Christmas & New Year’s Cruise” itineraries.
