38.75m ALYSSA, built by the Istanbul based Shipyard Tansu Yachts is on the cover of BOAT international April 2015 issue with the great shot of Jeff Brown. This all wooden yacht was launched in 2014, the second yacht Tansu launched in the year following the completion of the 37.90 metre So’ Mar.Originally named Thunderbolt, she features naval architecture by the renowned Dutch company Diana Yacht Design, whilst her exterior design was undertaken in house by Tansu Yachts.
Throughout the entire vessel, Alyssa has a beach house, relaxed feel, whilst still retaining the elegance and luxury of a superyacht. Despite her militaristic, sharp and narrow appearance, she has a generous beam of 7.28 meters and accommodates a total of eight guests in four staterooms. The generous owners suite has his-and-hers bathrooms with a large shower. Two twin-berth guest cabins are set amidships while the VIP is set forward. Alyssa‘s crew are accommodated in a crew area with three cabins and a crew mess, set aft, with a separate stairway leading up to the main deck with a seating area and sea view.
Forward on the main deck is an informal seating area, galley, and day bathroom. The wheelhouse is well-equipped with all the equipment and instruments needed for long-range voyaging.
In regards to her performance, Alyssa is powered by twin Caterpillar C32 1,900hp engines, giving her a maximum speed of 21 knots, and a cruising speed of 18 knots.
