Fashion designer Max Azria has listed his Holmby Hills mansion for a whopping $85 million. Max and his fashion designer wife, Lubov bought this mansion in 2006 for $16 million, but they spent additional $30 million remodeling and expanding the home, which is nicknamed “le Maison du Soleil.” Designed by architect Paul Revere Williams in the 1930s, the Holmby Hills home sits on three acres of land and has 17 bedrooms and 33 bathrooms.
In the two-story home’s entryway, there is a floor-to-ceiling waterfall chandelier made from over 150,000 hand-placed crystals. There’s a 6,000-square-foot movie theater, plus a candy and popcorn bar. The kitchen has a walk-in fridge, and there are two greenhouses (one is just for organic produce). In Azria’s office, there is a domed, gold-leaf ceiling.
There is a large terrace on the top level of the home, which overlooks the five different gardens (“French, Japanese, English, Moroccan and herb”). The proprty also boasts a fire pit, a “zero-edged pool,” and an on-site Moroccan bath house with a steam shower and sauna.
