Bruce Willis is expanding his portfolio of dealing with residential properties. First there was the $12 million, 22-acre buy in Bedford, then the $13 million sale of his El Dorado co-op, and now the “Die Hard” action star purchased a $17 million six-bedroom duplex at 271 Central Park West. Edens, a Wall Street bigwig who heads up major global investment firm Fortress Investment Group, listed the apartment with brokers Jay Glazer and Landis Hosterman of Urban Compass in October.
The two-story, sohpisticated residence measures 6,000 square feet and has 80-feet of frontage overlooking Central Park. There are six bedrooms in all, a capacious formal dining room fit for a 12-person dinner party, a designer eat-in kitchen and breakfast bar, a staff room and a library. Interiors are clean and classy, with molding and light paneling aplenty, dark hardwood floors and some nice-looking built-ins in the aforementioned library.
