Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas say they are divorcing ‘thoughtfully and consensually’ after 18 years of marriage. So, it didn’t surpriss us when we heard that one of the most enduring Hollywood couples decided to sell their Hancock Park estate, with an asking price of $16,1 million. The couple bought the house for $4.2 million in 1999 and the following year added an adjacent lot for $1.3 million. They created the 1.5-acre estate, which centers on a 15,000-square-foot home designed by renowned Hoover Dam architect Gordon B. Kaufmann. The property now features expansive lawns, an organic garden, pool and rose gardens.

Lavish circa 1925 mansion has preserved many original and restored architectural details and includes 13 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a two-story banquet hall, a dining room with hand-stenciled ceilings, a library, four fireplaces and staircases and an elevator which connect the three stories. There’s also a discrete motor court with three-car garage.
