Christian Dior has launched Fève Délicieuse, the latest addition to their upscale La Collection Privée Christian Dior fragrance series. The new scent is centered on Venezuelan tonka beans, named Fève Délicieuse. The nose behind the fragrance is Dior’s favorite perfumer, Francois Demachy. The fragrance is described as “oriental-gourmand harmony”, with notes of tonka bean, vanilla, caramel, cocoa, pralines and woody accords. Tonka bean smells like a mixture between caramel, almonds and cut hay, milky sweet, but also bitter. The overall vibe is that of milky sweet vanilla – with chocolate and smoky Madagascar vanilla.
Fève Délicieus will be available in the second week of May 2015, as 125ml ($210) or 250ml ($300) bottle. Also in May, Dior will be offering a promotion – four of the La Collection Privée bottles will be available in 450ml size. These will include Oud Ispahan, Grand Bal, Gris Montaigne, and Ambre Nuit. The only “catch” is that these will be splash flacons, not spray like their 250ml bottles.
