John Lennon’s iconic round glasses will soon go under the hammer. The Beatles legend’s ‘favourite’ glasses – similar to those worn on the cover of Let It Be and Sgt Pepper are expected to fetch £10,000 ($15,000). Lennon gave the glasses to his housekeeper Dorothy ‘Dot’ Jarlett, so that her brother could wear them to a fancy dress party.
Omega Auctions is also offering juicy divorce papers from Lennon’s bitter split from his first wife, Cynthia.
The same auction house once sold Lennon’s tooth for £23,000 ($35,000), so we can expect that these two items could sell for a collective £20,000 ($30,000), at least when hit the auction block on May 19.
