“If she can’t wear it with flats, I don’t want to make it.” That’s Adam Lippes’ rule, and it comes through in his new capsule collection for Net-a-Porter. Fittingly named “East meets West”, this casual travel-inspired collection incorporates simple silhouettes anchored in innovative fabrics and exquisite detailing – sun bleached denim, scalloped Spanish lace and Japanese twill, to name a few. Influenced by the clean lines of the Neutra and Lautner houses in Palm Springs, California, Adam Lippes utilises a rich colour palette inspired by iconic New York-based artists Mark Rothko and Milton Avery.
Lippes approached the capsule with the idea of crafting “easy, not dressed-up, not serious, not necessarily for work” pieces.
When asked about his exclusive collaboration with the online shopping site, Adam said: “Net-a-porter.com is the world’s leading, innovative, luxury retailer. They have been the most incredible partner as we’ve grown. I am always so proud to see the collection impeccably presented on the website and am excited to work on special projects with the buying team.”
The expansive collection is available only on net-a-porter.com. Prices range between $95 for a cotton jersey T-shirt and $9,250 for a tassel-trimmed coat.
