At SIHH, they presented their novelty, DB24 Quetzalcoatl watch, which is truly magnificent, designed and inspired by the ancient civilization. This unusual word, Quetzalcoatl, translated from the Aztec language means “Feathered Serpent”, and according to mythology, this snake controls the cycle time, affecting agriculture and protecting artists and jewelers.
As a main element of the dial appears Feathered Serpent which is engraved in pure gold. This remarkable work is the work of artist Michael Roten. The snake with its head and tail marks the hours and minutes. The central part of the dial is decorated with mirolight guilloche technique.
Located in a housing made of white gold which measures 44mm in diameter, this watch has De Bethune Caliber DB2005 self-winding mechanism. De Bethune DB24 Quetzalcoatl watch come in a limited edition of only 20 pieces, and its price is $120,000.
