With the Chronotimer Series 1, Porsche Design presents individual timepieces influenced by legendary Porsche Design icons. At the same time, the models form the first complete series of timepieces developed entirely independently by the luxury brand and based on the principles of Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. The Porsche Design Chronotimer Series 1 features a captivating high-quality titanium case and is based on both the legendary Chronograph I timepiece from 1972 and the Titanium Chronograph from 1980. The characteristics of the first completely independently designed series of timepieces are timeless and modern: The diameter of the case is 42 millimetres.
The timepieces offer a variety of finishes and material choices for the strap: High-quality leather, high-tech fabric, titanium and rubber add a personal touch to the individual references. With regard to the bezel, there is also a focus on individuality and craftsmanship: Bezels in the Chronotimer Series 1 are available in black, titanium or 18-carat rose gold. The colour of the dials in black, carbon or deep blue gives each individual timepiece a unique appearance.
The watch is powered by the mechanical ETA Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement with a power reserve of 48 hours and a date display at the “3”. The black-tinted sapphire crystal case back that shows the inner workings of the exclusive, energy-optimised Porsche Design rotor is a real eye-catcher. The Chronotimer Series 1 is water-resistant to 5 bar.
The series will be launched in July 2015.
